Sway — Roblox dashboard. Same structure as the Twitch view so a parent switching between them feels no seam. Note the CHAT tab: Roblox exposes no in-experience chat to anyone, so that gap survives cookie access.

Maya can see this. A live indicator shows on her device whenever monitoring is active, and she can read the same summary you can.

Matches the session data above to within 4 minutes. Console and PC play is not counted — if Maya also plays on an Xbox or laptop, real totals are higher and we cannot tell by how much.

Roblox — what changed

Deliberately the same shape as the Twitch view: same ring, tabs, bar rows, spacing and colour. A parent moving between them should not have to relearn anything.

1
Every card declares its data source

Roblox's official API is identity and inventory only — four consumer scopes, none covering playtime, friends, chat or spend. Almost everything a parent cares about therefore comes from the cookie/proxy path. Tap Highlight to see how much of this screen depends on it: it is most of it, which is worth knowing when weighing that approach.

2
Ring measures time played

Same treatment as Twitch for consistency. Roblox sessions are longer and less bounded than Twitch's, which is why the late-night arc matters more here.

3
Session timeline

Roblox has no natural stopping point — no match end, no episode. That is precisely why parents report more screen-time conflict here than anywhere else, and why the shape of the day is more useful than the total.

4
Per-experience breakdown

The single most valuable card on the screen. "Roblox, 2 hours" tells a parent almost nothing — a session may span six independently authored experiences with completely different moderation quality. Maturity labels attach here, at the experience level, which is the only level where they mean anything.

5
Friends framed as change, not a roster

142 usernames is noise. "Two accounts added this week, both under two weeks old, no mutual friends" is a signal. It is also the data-minimising choice — we surface the delta and the risk features rather than retaining a roster of other people's children.

6
The chat gap is stated, not hidden

This is the honest centre of the Roblox product. Roblox exposes no in-experience chat to any third party — and none to its own parent dashboard either. Cookie access does not change that. Since most Roblox conversation happens inside experiences, this is the largest genuine blind spot, and pretending otherwise would be the fastest way to lose a parent's trust. The card says what we can offer instead.

7
Spend shown in Robux and sterling

Children reason in Robux; parents reason in pounds. Showing both is the point — the gap between them is exactly why 42% of children say it is unclear what they are buying. Month-on-month change beats a running total.

8
We recommend Roblox's own spend cap

Sway can report spend; only Roblox can prevent it. Saying so plainly is more useful than implying we can stop it, and it sets a realistic expectation of what a monitoring product is for.

9
Child-visibility banner

Same as Twitch. ICO Children's Code Standard 11 requires a clear, real-time sign to the child that monitoring is active, at every age band.

10
Device time shown as a cross-check, with its limit

On-device screen time corroborates the session data, which is useful for confidence. But it only sees this phone — console and PC play is invisible, and Roblox does not publish platform splits, so we cannot even estimate the shortfall. The card says so rather than quietly under-reporting.

API Roblox Open Cloud over OAuth. Identity and inventory only — four consumer scopes exist and none cover playtime, friends, chat or spend.
Cookie Cookie + proxy against the internal web endpoints, as used for TikTok/Instagram/YouTube. Unlocks nearly everything on this screen. See docs/games/03-compliance-and-risk.md for the terms position.
Device On-device OS usage. Needed regardless, because console and PC play is invisible to every other route.
